Deanna Hansard-Freshman Asst. Coach

 

This is Coach Deanna Hansard's (Coach D) first year as part of the Lady Hornets coaching staff.  A native of Hall County Georgia, Deanna graduated from West Hall High School in 1999.  While attending WHHS, Deanna participated in soccer, basketball, and cheerleading.  In soccer, Deanna was awarded the Coaches Award, MVP, and made the all-tournament team three years.  Deanna attended Georgia Southern University where she received a B.A. in History with a Minor in Geography.  After graduating from Georgia Southern, Deanna gained valuable experience working for a law firm in Atlanta.   In 2007, she decided to continue her education, and attended Piedmont College where she received a Master's Degree in History Education.  After graduating from Piedmont College, Deanna joined Roswell High School in the Special Education Department.  Deanna has aspirations of obtaining her Doctorate in Administration in the future.  Even though Deanna was not able to play sports at the collegiate level due to a knee injury, she has continued to participate in intramural soccer, basketball, volleyball, and softball.  She served as an assistant coach for a middle school AAU boy's basketball team, and for a park and rec soccer team.  During the spring of 2009, Deanna coached the JV girl’s soccer team at Winder-Barrow High School while student teaching.  Deanna is very excited to be a part of the Lady RHS staff, and is looking forward to a successful and fun season.
