Catlin McDonald-JV Coach
Coach Caitlin McDonald enters her second season as a part of the Roswell Lady Hornet coaching staff. Last season, she and Co-Head Coach Ryann Nursey led their freshmen team to a 13-3 record, placing 2nd in the Freshmen Regional Tournament.
Coach McDonald has been a Roswell native for the last fifteen years. She graduated from Roswell High School in 2004. During her years at RHS, she was a four year varsity basketball letterman. She played a guard/forward position, was a two year captain, and a two year recipient of Atlanta Tipoff Club Girl’s High School Team of the month member. She capped off her four years at RHS by finishing as Roswell’s 2nd all-time leading scorer with 1,136 points for her career. McDonald was a three sport athlete, also varsity lettering one year in track and three years in soccer. McDonald finished her soccer career as Roswell’s all-time leading goal scorer with 50 goals/30 assists.
In 2004, McDonald accepted a full scholarship to Mercer University’s Division I soccer program. She was a two year starter until her playing career was cut short due to injury. She finished her junior year as a student assistant coach and in her senior year served as the women’s soccer full-time assistant coach.
McDonald graduated Mercer in May 2008, having earned a BBA in Healthcare and Marketing. Coach McDonald is currently working on finishing her masters in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Physiology at Georgia State. She has the aspiration of entering Dental School in Fall 2010. Coach McDonald is very excited to enter into her second season here at Roswell and serve on the coaching staff of her former coach Leslie Broadwell.
